LOVE IS

Not just a mushy, squishy, heart warming feeling,

It's often intentional, ego-swallowing and gut wrenching.

Love is not always a walk in the park,

It's often a hike through hilly and rough terrain.

Love is not only expressed in eloquent, exquisitely crafted words,

It is treasured when demonstrated through acts of service and sacrifice.

Love is not all about passionate hugs and kisses,

But also about tears of joy and the embraces of repentance and forgiveness.

Love is not found in those perfectly staged and posed-for pictures,

But in those imperfect yet priceless moments that pictures could never do justice to!

Love is the glue that holds families together. The driving force in friendships. The passion that fuels our life's purpose and work.

My ask of you today is this. That you choose wisely whom you love. The friends you choose to love can either build you up or tear you down. The man or woman you chose to love will be the one who you will do life with on earth, the one who you will start a family with, the one you will dream with and the one you will pursue those dreams with.
